time passes

So, ya know......years and years of front line experience and reputation, get kicked to the curb by a newbie with a lot of letters behind their name and maybe that's okay. What isn't okay is when that experience is dismissed, scoffed at, or brushed aside, simply based on the impressiveness of the newbie's pay cheque.

Bottom line is, while the "new" systems may really be unique in the experience of the newbie's, they may not be so new to the ones who have been around the block a few times already. Even though they didn't work the first dozen times they were introduced as 'new' maybe they will work this time.........if you keep in mind that your ideas are only as strong as the people you expect to fulfill them and if those people are sick or have neurological brain damage, then reality sets in fast. Except of course when you are traveling all over the country extolling the virtues of your 'new' ideas and 'new' way of fixing the world. The people you are supposedly helping, are left behind, drowning under the weight of expectations they have no way of living up to, and which you will never see because you have already moved on.

The newbie's are not the real problem for me...they have been around forever and at one time or another, we have all been one. I think the problem for me lies closer to my heart, discovering a vacancy sign where respect once thrived...not from the newbie....but from someone much closer to home.
